Facilitator’s Profile
Mon Garcia is a seasoned management consultant and training facilitator with over 12 years of experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development interventions. He is also a writer and editor for various publications.
Rooted in the heyday of team-focused programs at the turn of the century, he has become part of the design, delivery and evaluation of numerous programs, from standard outdoor and indoor teambuilding programs, to more innovative versions involving competitive paintball setups and the first ever carting and racing based teambuilding program in the Philippines, “Gear Up!” with Edge Consulting.
His first projects, however, reflect his true passion : writing and program design. The first training program he ever wrote as a consultant was a Leadership Program design for a youth camp. The first program he led was a Vision-Mission and Yearly Planning program for an all-volunteer Employee Relations Group in Visteon Philippines, Inc.
Since then, Mon has pursued projects in the realm of organizational transformation, leadership and values development, and strategic planning, as these give him the opportunity to change perspectives, behaviors, and ultimately– lives. He does this through the design and implementation of effective program designs that encourage courageous conversations and inspire clarity and focus.
A committed source of meaningful dialogue, empowering ideas and althernative perspectives, Mon continues his work as a resource and consultant to groups and individuals seeking a different level of performance, believing that “what got us here is not what will get us there.”
